Founder, Owner, and Instructor
Jennifer is a beloved yoga instructor with over eight years experience. She earned her instructor certification with Moksha Yoga in Nicaragua and has been teaching in Barrie, Orangeville, and from her home studio every since. Her passion for helping others lead her to acquire her teaching degree, joyfully, from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1998. She teaches elementary students by day, but yoga is her true love. She fell for it the way some people fall in love: hard and fast. Her love of yoga has proven deep and abiding, too. Jennifer has found being a teacher gives as much a joy as being a student. Her accessible and engaging classes emphasize breath, strength, and flexibility, with a focus on getting students to clear their minds and focus on their bodies so that time just floats by, leaving participants feeling strong, calm, and blissed out. There will be lightness, laughter, peace, and maybe even a savasana foot rub!
Co-Founder, Co-Owner, and Instructor

A graduate of York University and winner of the Young Entrepreneur’s Prize, Jessie brings business expertise, leadership, and her unstoppable energy to Lion’s Den Yoga. Her commitment to helping individuals and groups realize their potential lead her to create LEAP Adventures, her team-building and outdoor education company. She is also an Ontario Certified Teacher in the Upper Grand District School Board. You may not see Jessie at the front of classes instructing, but she will often be in them, and she is always busy behind the scenes.
Miriana is an accomplished yoga instructor and parent. Miriana completed her YTT 200 at 5 Elements Yoga and Pilates in Brampton in 2008 with Michelle Cormack. She has continued her studies through workshops in Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Power, Yin, Ashtanga and Pre and Postnatal yoga under the teachings of Bryan Kest, Hart Lazer, Maria Garre, David Swenson, Danny Paradise, Sarah Powers and Rod Stryker. Miriana recently completed a 40-hour immersion with David Robson of the Ashtanga Yoga Center in Toronto and is passionate about physical alignment and the biomechanics of the practice. Miriana loves the feeling of “home” yoga gives her. As a mother of four, her yoga practice became her time to drop in, reconnect, and recharge her batteries so that she could find balance and stay grounded in her busy life. She hopes you will experience the same peace in her classes.
Rachel’s yoga practice has evolved with her over the past decade since she first stepped on her mat. Now firmly rooted in a slow and strong asana practice that focuses on breath and meditation, Rachel aims to share this practice with her students, infusing humour and humility along the way.
Rachel obtained her vinyasa flow yoga teacher training certificate in Bali, Indonesia with Shades of Yoga, where proper technique and alignment is strongly emphasized and safety is more important than injuring yourself to get into pretzel-y poses.
Rachel firmly believes that yoga is for every body and aims to make her teachings inclusive for all.
When not on the mat, Rachel is a culinary holistic nutritionist and private holistic chef and can be found making a mess in the kitchen or outside exploring nature.
Robin received her YTT 200 hour training in Costa Rica in March 2016 and teaches an Iyengar inspired Hatha yoga practice. Her focus on alignment and modifications help to make her classes accessible for everyone. “Lengthen, strengthen, and unwind” make up the core of each class, and she loves a good plank pose.
Robin has a background in holistic nutrition and enjoys kickboxing, skiing, hiking and spending time outside with friends and family. Dark chocolate is a staple in her diet.
Megs is an experienced yoga teacher and certified Reiki practitioner with a deep interest in aromatherapy and essential oils. Megs will be offering her Reiki services at Lions Den Yoga and you will find savasana a sweet, aromatic experience in her classes. When she is not on her mat, Megs might be playing at her family cottage with her hubs and dogs, travelling through England, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, or Asia, or hanging out in the Den with you and a cup of tea.
Pam is a versatile yoga instructor who can comfortably teach in almost any style of class. She brings strength and softness, as well as great energy which she shares with her students.
